The National Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System (PTTS)
The National Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System (PTTS) is a nationwide digital infrastructure project designed to track medicines throughout the entire supply chain, from the point of import or manufacture to the end user. to enhance drug safety, combat counterfeit medications, and reduce misuse. It is part of JFDA’s broader strategy to modernize its regulatory tools in alignment with international standards and global export requirements. Developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, the system will establish a centralized digital platform that tracks every medicine unit, integrating data from local producers, importers, distributors, pharmacies, and hospitals.
